Privacy Policy — iOS App

Last updated: 2026. This policy applies to the VaultHabits iOS app distributed on the Apple App Store and related support pages on this website.

Introduction

VaultHabits ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the VaultHabits mobile application for iPhone and iPad and when you visit related pages on https://vaulthabits.com.

By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the app, and limited technical information needed to operate the service.

  • Account and authentication data: if you create an account or sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive identifiers needed to authenticate you (such as email address, user ID, and authentication tokens). We do not receive your account password when you use Sign in with Apple.
  • Habit and app content: habit names, categories, schedules, completion history, streaks, counters, reminders, widget preferences, appearance settings, and other data you enter in the app.
  • Device and app data: device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, and diagnostic logs needed to fix crashes or performance issues.
  • Notification data: your reminder preferences and permission status for local notifications. We use notifications only to deliver habit reminders you configure.
  • Subscription and purchase data: subscription status, product identifiers, trial status, and transaction metadata processed by App Store and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
  • Support communications: if you contact us, we collect your name, email address, message content, and any information you choose to provide.

How we use your information

  • Provide core app features including habit tracking, reminders, widgets, statistics, and cloud backup.
  • Authenticate your account and keep you signed in across sessions.
  • Process Vault Premium subscriptions, free trials, renewals, and purchase restoration.
  • Sync and restore your habit data when you enable backup.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account or the app.
  • Monitor app stability, diagnose errors, and improve performance and usability.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

How we store your information

Most habit data is stored locally on your iPhone and iPad. When you enable backup, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account under your control.

VaultHabits does not maintain a separate full copy of your habit archive on our own servers for routine backup purposes. Account authentication data may be processed through our authentication provider.

We retain support emails and account-related records only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, or comply with legal requirements.

Automatic iCloud backup

Your habits silently back up to your personal iCloud account after every change. Switch devices or reinstall — your data stays with you.

  • Backup uses iCloud services provided by Apple. Your use of iCloud is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy policies.
  • You are responsible for maintaining access to your cloud account and device backups.
  • If you delete the app or disable backup without exporting data, locally stored information may be lost.

Third-party services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the app. These providers process data only as needed to perform their functions:

  • Apple / App Store: app distribution, in-app purchases, and subscription billing.
  • Sign in with Apple: optional account sign-in and identity verification.
  • Supabase: secure authentication and account management infrastructure.
  • RevenueCat: subscription status, entitlements, and purchase restoration.
  • Apple (iCloud): optional cloud backup storage when you enable backup.

App Store subscriptions

Vault Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings.

RevenueCat receives purchase receipts and subscription status from the app store to determine your Vault Premium access. Payment processing is handled entirely by the app store; we never receive your full payment card number.

Notifications

The app may request permission to send local notifications for habit reminders you configure. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app.

We do not use notifications for unrelated advertising.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your habit content with advertisers.

We may disclose information only when required by law, to protect our rights or users, or with service providers who assist us under confidentiality obligations.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and update habit data directly within the app.
  • Delete habits, categories, or your entire local dataset from within the app settings where available.
  • Disable cloud backup or notifications through app and device settings.
  • Cancel Vault Premium through your app store account settings.
  • Request account deletion or data questions by emailing us.
  • Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children's privacy

VaultHabits is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for securing your device, app store account, and cloud account credentials.

International users

If you use the app from outside the country where our service providers operate, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. By using the app, you consent to this processing as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.

Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
