Delete your account

Last updated: September 2, 2026. You can delete your VaultHabits account and associated data at any time — no sign-in required to start an email request.

Request deletion by email

Enter the email address registered on your VaultHabits account. We send a confirmation link to that address only. Your account is deleted only after you open the link and confirm.

Delete your VaultHabits account and data

You can delete your VaultHabits account and associated data at any time. You do not need to sign in to submit a request.

Option 1 — Delete in the app

Open VaultHabits, go to Settings, then Account, then Close account. Confirm when prompted. Your account and server-side data are removed immediately.

This is the fastest option and does not require email verification because you are already signed in.

Option 2 — Request by email

Use the form at the top of this page to request deletion. We send a confirmation link to the email address registered on your VaultHabits account. Your account is deleted only after you open that link and confirm.

We never delete an account based on an incoming email alone. If someone else requests deletion of your account, they cannot complete verification without access to your inbox.

You can also email vaulthabits@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account" and include your registered email address. We respond within 7 days and follow the same verification step before deletion. After you confirm, we complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account record and authentication identifiers
  • Habit names, categories, schedules, completion history, streaks, and counters stored on our infrastructure
  • Support correspondence tied to your account, on request

What is not deleted automatically

  • Backup files in your own Google Drive account. These belong to you and stay under your control. Delete them from Drive directly if you want them gone.
  • Backup files in your own iCloud storage, if you enabled iCloud sync. Remove them from iCloud if you want them gone.
  • Habit data stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it.
  • Transaction records held by Google Play or the Apple App Store, which we do not control and which those stores retain for their own legal and tax purposes.

Retention

We retain nothing after deletion except records we are legally required to keep, such as billing records. Those are held only as long as the law requires.
