Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VaultHabits mobile application for Android devices and related services. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the app. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app complies with applicable laws in your location.

Description of the service

VaultHabits is a habit-tracking application that helps you build positive habits, break negative habits, track progress, receive reminders, view statistics, and optionally back up data to Google Drive.

Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or remove features to improve the service.

Accounts and authentication

• You may use certain features without an account. Optional sign-in via Google Sign-In may be required for backup, sync, or premium features.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Vault Premium subscriptions

Vault Premium subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play subscription settings.

• Vault Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• A free trial may be offered to new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid plan and you will be charged according to the plan you selected.
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in the app at the time of purchase.
• Payment, billing, refunds, and cancellation are handled by the app store according to its policies. We do not process refunds directly.
• You can restore purchases on a new device using the same app store account.

Free tier

The free version of VaultHabits includes limited features such as a cap on active habits, basic reminders, and a basic widget. Free features may change over time.

Your content and data

• You retain ownership of the habit names, notes, schedules, and other content you create in the app ("User Content").
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display User Content solely to provide the service, including local storage and optional Google Drive backup you enable.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you enter.
• When backup is enabled, you are responsible for maintaining access to your Google Drive account.
• We are not liable for data loss caused by device failure, account loss, disabled backup, or user deletion.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app, servers, or networks connected to the service.
• Use automated systems to access the service in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.
• Upload malicious code or content that infringes third-party rights.

Intellectual property

The app, website, logos, design, and software are owned by VaultHabits or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the app except as permitted by law or with our written consent.

Third-party services

The app integrates with third-party services including Google Play, Google Sign-In, Supabase, RevenueCat, and Google Drive. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Disclaimers

VaultHabits is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The app is a productivity tool, not medical, psychological, or professional advice. We do not guarantee that using the app will help you achieve any particular outcome.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VaultHabits and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or fifty US dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VaultHabits and its developers from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any active subscription through your app store account.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the app shall be resolved in the courts or forums permitted by applicable law, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
